Facebook Group Rules

1. Be Kind and Courteous

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

2. No Hate Speech or Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed. Degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, gender, sexual orientation nor identity will not be tolerated.

3. No Promotions or Spam

Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed. Any promotion of product MUST be post to the commerce page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BtBLCommerce/. All product related posts will be deleted without warning or explanation.

4. Respect Everyone's Privacy

Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group stays in the group or you will be removed without warning or explanation. Any screen shots will result in banning from the group.

5. Adding a Member

If you would like to add a law enforcement wife/fiance/girlfriend to this group, you are more than welcome to do so, but then PM them and tell them to complete the verification form at https://www.backingtheblueline.org/join-btbl. No one will be added without completing that step.

6. No Rallying Negativity

Posts with the purpose of calling out a business or person by name and shaming them will not be approved (no matter how outrageous their behavior is). Posts to this group must remain positive, non-political, non-sales based, encouraging and supportive to the organization and its vision statement.

7. Notification Respect

In order to give those involved in incidents time to notify loved ones appropriately (IE: not via social media), we require all incidents hit major news outlets before being approved - typically 24h.

8. Honor Membership Guidelines

If your status with your law enforcement officer changes, and you are no longer in a committed relationship with a MN LEO (retirees still welcome), please remove yourself from the group.

9. Be Our Eyes & Ears

If ever you hear of a MN LEO (or their family) who has been injured or is ill (mentally or physically), fill out our Request for Assistance form immediately. Don't worry if it's something we support or not. Link:  https://www.backingtheblueline.org/request-assistance

10. Volunteer

We are a 100% volunteer run organization. We cannot continue to serve MN LE families without your help. To see our volunteer opportunities visit our volunteer management site at:  https://timecounts.org/btblmn/opportunities
